With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we are having a Thanksgiving Sale at Medford Antique Marketplace, November 23, 25, and 26, Open Hours: 9 AM-5 PM, Monday-Saturday. For these specific three days, I am offering a 20% discount off purchases of $50 and above, or a 10% discount on purchases under $50. Then on Thursday, December 1, we are celebrating Christmas Open House from 9 AM-8 PM with refreshments all day. Many booths will feature special discounts; as for The Purple Lamb, I will be giving away a lovely gold/black framed 20x16 Van Gogh print of "Starry Night", a retail value of $129. Shoppers will be able to register in my booth for a drawing of the winning name at the close of the day.
With today's seemingly popular appeal of so much white, silver/sage and gray in decorative interior appointments, I have designed a collection of pearl/white/crystal window and mirror treatments that I call, "Christmas Reclaimed Glow and More", using lovely cling designs to create faux stain glass creations to hang in an existing window or to position on a mantel or credenza. These can actually be used year round, if so wanted, because they lend themselves to such, but because I introduced them at Christmas, I wanted to suggest their significance for the holidays. To give you a sneak preview, in the photo following is an unfinished mirror on which I am working. So 'for the rest of the story'...you will have to come to Medford Antique Marketplace and see the finished pieces, that is, if they haven't sold before you get there. Actually, the complete collection will be ready for Christmas Open House, December 1.
Now to other things of interest, there are vintage Christmas collectibles which would make desirable gifts, as well as elegant crystal serving pieces, gold/silver resin cherubs, ornaments, faux silk table runners...and on and on and on...even a few grab bags. I wish I could show you individualized photos of everything!
But let's not forget Thanksgiving and those interesting things which would add color and the warmth of Fall to your table and home for this time of praise and thankful hearts for God's Goodness and Blessings as you gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving Day and weekend.
I would enjoy seeing you during these special days; coffee will be ready and so will I!
June
