Oh my, I can't believe it has already been another month to pass by in this new year and I am just now getting on here to blog a bit!  Forgive me for such a time lapse, but at the speed I'm going, I may should just park my wheels and hope you can enjoy The Purple Lamb on facebook.  Anyway...my booth has changed dramatically with additional space and I am so pleased.  If you have never stopped by Old South Antique Mall, you really should come and see this landmark which is the oldest, by virtue of being the first one of its origin in Dothan.

Valentine's Day is close, so I thought I would show you a few things of interest which have nothing to do with chocolate and roses!

If you are looking for some furnishings, perhaps the following might be of interest:

And I could go on and on, but why don't you just come visit and shop with me, as well as enjoy all the vendors throughout the mall?!  Enjoy a cup of coffee, take your time (it's a big place) and go back in time in remembering yesteryear and the beauty of keepsakes, collectibles, tabletop decor, furniture, architectural finds, and more.  Open Monday-Saturday, 10 AM-6 PM, and Sunday, 1-5 PM.

And don't forget that I sell awesome LOW CARB BREAD!  Go to www.julianbakery.com and read all about it, then come and select from Carb Zero, Paleo, Wonderful, and Amazing Sourdough.  I'll soon have the Smart Carb #1 and #2 back in stock; the new formula has been perfected and we will be selling it once again.

Until we blog again, may the Lord bless you and keep you well and full of His joy.

What a trip!  The Longest Yard Sale 2012 on Hwy. 127 is now past and we had a great and successful experience.  Needless to say...we so wished for a truck in which to transport our treasures back to Dothan, and next year...we will see if that happens!

I've posted photos of some of the things we have already put into the booth at Old South, but I have a few more items to add in the weeks ahead.  Fall is coming...yes, it is!  You can already feel a little bit of change in the cooler early morning air!

So, enjoy what you see here, envision it in a special place in your home, and come on in soon to shop at The Purple Lamb.

So, be it a beautiful unique table centerpiece, a Majolica vase, a Lenox collectible, a vintage keepsake, a chandelier or candlelier, or even...decoupaged stools...we may have what you are looking for to enhance your home or give as a gift.  As always, I appreciate your interest and regards.

Oh yes, don't forget the wonderful Smart Carb Bread at the Purple Lamb, and now...Paleo and Zero Carb!  There are people driving 50 to 100 miles just to have the enjoyable benefits and nutrition of this bread.

If you have any questions, you may call me anytime at 334-618-8052.  May the Lord bless and keep you safe and well.

My goodness...how time does slip by!  I hope everyone's Summer has been fulfilling in all the things you have hoped to do in these warm, lazy days of sunshine, beach trips, and cook-out gatherings with family/friends before school begins again.  Down South, we certainly know how to do just that!

The Purple Lamb appreciates the many old and new customers that continue to shop with us.  It won't be long before my vendor booth buddy, Betty (The Curious Cottage), and I will be traveling 'up the road' to Hwy. 127 for the Longest Yard Sale!  That's right...we are 'a-going'!  Meanwhile, you may want to check out these vintage items in the DIY Repurpose section of my booth:

Don't forget the wonderful Smart Carb Breads by Julian Bakery of California that are also available at The Purple Lamb...the only source within 100 miles!  The new PALEO is 'in the house'; come and get it, all you Crossfit people and especially, anyone with Celiac Disease...this bread is for you!

God bless...June

It has been a while since last posting and in that time I have accomplished what I last made mention of...the possibility of adding another dimension to The Purple Lamb...DIY Repurposing.  Yes, Do It Yourself!  I know there are those of you who enjoy giving life back to items and furnishings from the past or even the present that need a little TLC, so now you can shop another segment of my booth to find some of those items at both a savings and a convenience for you.  Add a little paint, make into a new project, repurpose altogether...whatever your creative abilities dictate to you, have fun and then enjoy your handiwork!

Do you go online to Pinterest and drool over all the ideas for remaking things?  I have four parts of a baby bed that could be converted into an adorable child's bed...come by the booth and see the actual photo of what that would look like.  The chairs in the photo below can be made into a bench or loveseat for the foot of a bed.  Perhaps you've seen the swing made from a chair-clever!  The doll bed can be made into an adorable display seat for dolls and stuffed animals.  Another idea is to use it as a filing drawer...no kidding...have the photo to show!

Love this wrought iron chandelier for kitchen or patio...only $45.

I had the pleasure of repurposing this Coaster 20" wrought iron table with glass top and it looks as though new...only $25.

See the chair sitting on top of the tabletop...I have just sprayed it red and it is so cute...plan to put it back into the booth tomorrow and whenever I 'do red', it does not stay around very long!  By the way, the vintage wood tabletop only (you add the legs) is $40.  And yes, that is a 1990s croquet set you see on top of the table, as well as a 1950s Anco Bilt artist's easel.

This wicker loveseat is ready for a new coat of paint to suit your decor and only $40...52" x 22".

Now I want to show you an update look at the original portion of The Purple Lamb, which is all about beautiful tabletop and decorative accessories, be it vintage or a bit more present time, all in mint presentation for yourself or as a gift.  And...the Low Carb Bread is doing absolutely great!  If you wonder what the bread is all about, you really should come by and get a brochure.

This beautiful work of art is by a french artist, Tissot, who also painted 365 illustrations of the Life of Christ.  The inside mat is actually a vanilla cream, rather than the soft pink tone as the photo suggest. 29" x 41"

An incredible vintage work of art!  Aged by time and weather, it is one-of-a-kind, 30" x 18", wood and wrought iron, handcrafted many years ago.

Hope your time with me on my blog has been enjoyable and that you will find The Purple Lamb worthy of your interest.  God bless!

Time seems to have passed so quickly since relocating to Old South Antique Mall six weeks ago.  Spring is in the air and it's time to 'show it'!

So...here are some new additions to the Purple Lamb which I hope are irresistible, either for yourself or for gifting a special someone.  Even though I am an antique vendor, not everything in my booth is vintage and re-purposed; there are lovely NEW items as well...that is why we are also classified 'marketplace'.

I'm seriously contemplating another phase being added to the Purple Lamb which will involve furniture and unusual accessories, indoor and outdoor, so keep on stopping by...we will see!

Enjoy the photos.  If you do facebook, search for The Purple Lamb and click on the photos for descriptions and prices.  If you see something of interest and want to call me, please do: 334-618-8052.

With Easter very near, I reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago for my salvation and for all others who believe in Him.  How blessed to celebrate His Name!  May your Easter be so very special in every way.  Not meaning to commercialize it, but because I wanted children to have something other than chocolate bunnies in their baskets, I have a limited amount of adorable candy lamb lollipops and candy cross bracelets.  So come on grandmothers and get one or two for your grandchildren.

Of course...I would never forget to say a word about the Smart Carb Bread!  It is amazing and very popular with so many of you.  I ENJOY IT EVERY DAY!

God bless you,
June
